I have big hopes and dreams for myself. I’d love to be one of those “Highly Successful” people.
Maaayybeee not quite this successful, but a girl can dream, right? So let’s break this down a bit. What do “highly successful” people do that helps them become so successful?
Here’s a summary of what we know about highly successful people:
- They read tons and skip TV.
- They meditate to quiet their minds and avoid gossip.
- They put an emphasis on physical fitness and eating healthy.
- They keep running to-do lists and take notes on what they learn.
- They wake up early – no snooze button.
Let’s assess where I am:
I already read daily and watch Netflix a few times a week, not daily. My 2016 goal is to read 35 books.
My husband and I have been attending weekly meditation at a local Buddhist temple. I’m working on the gossip habit.
I’m also in a semi-habit of jogging on the treadmill in the mornings. I am beginning my second round of Advocare’s 24 Day Challenge. This is one area I plan to focus on! This year, I am going to lose 30 pounds and be able to hold a plank for 5 minutes.
List? No problem.
One way that I’m going to rock this year is by getting up at 5 am every weekday and 7 am every weekend morning. I will be allowing my body to get into a healthy rhythm, make time for exercise and get out of the house to grow my business! This is going to be crucial
So there you have it, my 2016 goals. I will be losing 30 pounds and holding a 5 minute plank, waking consistently at 5am (and 7am weekends) and reading 35 books. I have other goals as well – pretty major goals – but these three are the ones that I will be tracking on my blog and on my YouTube channel. Do you think these will help me to be more successful?
